In the second seductive installment of Jeffe Kennedy's thrilling Master of the Opera, a young woman falls deeper under the spell of the man who haunts her dreams, fuels her desire, and demands her surrender. . .

With each passing day of her internship at the Sante Fe Opera House, Christine Davis discovers something new, something exciting—and something frightening. Hidden in the twisting labyrinths beneath the theater is a mysterious man in a mask who, Christy's convinced, is as real as the rose he left on her desk—and as passionate as the kiss that burns on her lips. He tells her to call him "Master," and Christy can't deny him. But when her predecessor—a missing intern—is found dead, Christy wonders if she's playing with fire. . .

If her phantom lover is actually a killer, how can she continue to submit to his dark, erotic games? And if he is innocent, how can she resist—or refuse—when he demands nothing less than her body and soul?

Master of the Opera Act 2 Ghost Aria edition by Jeffe Kennedy Romance eBooks Reviews

Originally given 4.5 hearts at Rookie Romance.

In another thrilling installment in the Master of the Opera series, Ghost Aria picks up where act 1 left off. After a chilling discovery in the depths of the opera house, Christy is left confused and scared. With the suave Roman ever present, Christy finds herself increasingly torn between him and the mysterious Master.

Christy's past is still a bit of a puzzle for the reader, but she remains a likable heroine. She's definitely confused about her emotions regarding the 'Phantom', or Master as he asks her to call him. And who wouldn't be?? He could potentially be a murderer, but Christy can't ignore the draw she feels towards him. Her relationship with Roman progresses somewhat, although I still don't particularly like him. Maybe I'm just playing favourite, because I'm always on the Phantom's side.

There are so many potential suspects for the murderer at this point in the story. Frankly, it could be almost anyone. Charlie and Carla, who both work at the opera house, definitely seem to know more than they're letting on. Roman is way too smooth and something about him screams 'charismatic serial killer', so I'm putting my money on him. I don't want it to be Master (I figure that's how I'll refer to him from now on), he definitely seems to have a painful past that has led to him hiding in the shadows, and I love a tortured hero.

There is an undercurrent of eroticism through the book, that heightens when we're around Master. It's easy to see why Christy is so enticed by him. There's a palpable allure that jumps off the pages, and I would be happily led straight down into the labyrinth underneath the opera house if it meant I was with Master!

This is another great installment in the series from Jeffe Kennedy. The Master is an erotic enigma that I can't wait to learn more about as the series progresses. The mystery behind the identity of the murderer is very intriguing and at this point I'm still rather clueless about who it will be. I can't wait for more!

*I received a review copy from the publisher, via NetGalley, for my honest review. Thank you!
This is the second installment in the Master of the Opera six part Series of Novellas.

Christy's past is still unknown for readers; but, she still remains a highly likable, if not a little immature, heroine. The Master still remains an enigma to her and the emotions she has towards him, confound her on so many levels. Of course, the thought that he could be the murderer have entered her mind; but, she never truly believes that. Despite him being cloaked in secrecy, she trusts him. Then there is Ramon, he seriously creeps me out. I don't care how rich or hot you are, if you order me around like I'm a possession, I will kick you. Their relationship......is odd for lack of a better word. It progresses some in this installment; but, I really hope it doesn't go anywhere just for the fact that he views her more as a possession, a business deal of sorts.

Now onto the "who done it" portion. There are so many suspects at this point in the story that it's a little astounding. There Carla and Charlie whom would be the most likely since they have access to the Opera House 24/7 and it seems that Carla has it in for Christy. You definitely get the feel that Charlie knows more than he's letting on to Christy and us (the readers). Roman makes me think of the mob; he's smooth and way too charismatic. A little too.....perfect shall I say? Just the way he acts towards Christy makes me think he could very well get rid of someone, if it benefited himself. Then there is the Phantom "Master", he is absolutely one of my favorite characters in these books so far. While we, the readers, know next to nothing about him, that is what keeps us intrigued. Even though he could very well make anyone disappear in the catacombs to protect his precious "Christine", I doubt that it's him. You don't get the feel of, serial killer off of him at any point. Could he make someone disappear to protect Christy? Yes. Would he possibly kill someone to protect Christy? Yes. I think anyone would do almost anything in their power to protect those closest to them. I mean, I really hope it's not him; but, at this point, we really have absolutely no idea.

While the first installment had absolutely no sexuality at all, this one definitely has an undercurrent of eroticism that will keep you on edge, waiting to see what happens. Master is where every sexual thought is centered, he's mysterious and knows precisely what he wants. The tension between the two is palpable throughout the story that will have readers wondering, "What will happen next?"

Kennedy delivers another wonderful installment, it builds excess tension and sexuality that will have you wanting to read on. The Master is the unknown in this series and I can't wait to find out what Kennedy has in store for us as this story progresses. At this point, I am completely hooked and can't wait to read more.
I like it for some odd reason. since this is the second one into the story, you'll run by it fast.
